Is running the main exe with -server parameters the only way to run Operation Arrowhead? Or is there a dedicated server exe out there that I can't find? I've been around a while so I know my Armastuff, but, thanks to a surprise win on a recent tournament I've become an OA Steam Newbie . Is this the case? Steam requires a specialised server. Sorry for the dumb question from someone who should know better, but this whole Steam thing is a bit new and I confuse easily when I leave my Zone :. I was just given the wrong information. Run the patch exe to apply the patch setup automatically you may be prompted to choose your exact version in some occasions. You can always run your Arma 2 final version in the main Arma 2 folder if you use default application shortcuts, start menu or run the regular arma2.

Arma II is a first-person war game that takes place on a massive multi-hundred square km map. This allows you to start and run the dedicated server automatically when Windows boots and before login. FireDaemon Pro also allows you to start multiple instances of the game server, monitoring them and automatically restarting those instances in the event they crash. Its primary use is to install and update various dedicated servers available on Steam using a command-line interface. You will need to enter a verification string if your steam account has SteamGuard enabled.

By Clark , May 8, in General Discussion. I personally use soyoustart, a canadian version of OVH, or sister company if you want to call it lol. Soyoustart is all of the servers that OVH puts out of commission basically. Cheap and basically another way for them to make money still good though. Or you could go higher in price, and get the really nice 5 Ghz version which would boost performance even more. Plus I get more upload speed which is nice for hosting. I used webtropia for my last servers. Same specs as OVH at the time but cheaper. I also used OVH before and had no issues with them. If you have your own license you can, might be worth asking in advance how but in the past you could install an unactivated version and then use your own key, this might of changed since though.
